What will people find at your table at True Believers 2018?

Asa - The very first issue of our series Tails of Mystery. A ridiculous mystery with some dark elements. And sweets probably lots of sweets.

Kat - Style and pizzazz. But failing that a comic about a cat detective and two friendly people to talk to.

What do you love about creating comics?

Asa - The collaboration and anticipation. Every time I get a new piece of art it's as exciting as the last and the comic only truly comes together once all the pieces are finished.

Kat - Seeing a story come together and getting the chance to work on a project that neither of us have done before. The most rewarding thing is having a finished product after all that effort.

What part of creating comics do you find the most challenging?

Asa - Letting go. It's incredibly hard to cut things you really like but sometimes a scene just isn't right for the story. Also the art. That's why I'm the writer and I leave the art in the more capable hands of literally anyone else. Luckily I've got someone as talented as Kat to make my writing look way better than it actually is.

Kat - TIME. It’s always tempting to just to do that little tweak here and there which is hard to balance around full time jobs. Drawing people has never been my forte so I feel like I’m starting to learn to draw from scratch and develop a style in-keeping with that of my animal drawings.

What do you love about being at a comic con?

Asa - The community. Everyone is so open to take a chance on something they've never heard of before. It'll be my first time behind a table so I'm excited to see how different or similar it is.

Kat - I've not been to a con before so I'm excited to see how it works and everyone else's comics and merch.

What comic - other than your own - would you recommend people read?

Asa - That's like asking which child is your favourite, it's an almost impossible decision, almost. Some of my favourite I'd recommend that people might not have heard of or be reading are, Hack/Slash (a throwback to classic 80s horror), Heathen (a brilliant Viking saga) and Rat Queens (so good I got it tattooed on my arm).

Kat - Saga, it’s the first one Asa lent me and it’s my benchmark for comparing other comics, I love the story and artwork throughout.
