We put 5 Questions to Sarah from Twisted Art...
Q) What’s the secret origin story of Twisted Art and how did it all come together?
It all started when I was but a young slip of a student at Uni with no monies to buy a mate a birthday card. So I went away, found some card and some markers (or more accurately, begged, borrowed and stole them) and made them a card. Then things... escalated. :) My friend Sam (the tall lanky one from Square Orange Games) happened to see my doodles one day, told me that they'd sell really well and booked me in for the very first True Believers and hey presto, Twisted Art was formed.
Q) What inspires you to create?
Anything and everything! I'm a massive comic book fan so my fan art is usually front and centre at any of my shows. I also like things that make me laugh (which is how Little Lives, our first comic, was created).
Q) Since you started, what moment has been your highlight so far?
I would say getting my very own comic published and having it's first official review. That was something I never thought I'd ever see so having someone review it and say how much they enjoyed it was definitely one of the best days ever.
Q) This is your second year at True Believers, what can people expect to find at your table on the day for 2017?
Lots of goodies! We'll have prints, posters, magnets, keyrings, our own comics, bookmarks, sketchcards... The list is pretty much unending.
Q) If you could pick one line that inspires you from a comic or nerd culture as your life motto, which would you choose?
"You'll never know if you can fly unless you take the risk of falling." - Nightwing. Because let's face it, we all love Dick Grayson.
