5 Question Interview #82

We put 5 Questions to Ross from Eggabeg...

What's the secret origin story of Eggabeg and how did it all come together?

I was 14 and asking what would be a catchy name for a DeviantArt page. My Dad was in the kitchen trying to fix some plumbing and making all sorts of weird noises as he looked for tools, one being "egabebegabega" so yeah... Eggabeg it was!

What inspires you to create?

At first it was the hopes of fame, but now it's just those moments of seeing someone love your creations.

Since you started, what moment has been your highlight so far?

Probably my first convention in Melksham. Going through college and University in art or design related courses you get reminded very often that academics hate whatever they consider to be 'cartoon' style, so to be surrounded by people that actually loved it for a change was amazing.

This is your first year at True Believers, what can people expect to find at your table on the day?

Prints, sketches and on the spot commissions! Any style you want, just challenge me with it! The majority of my print work is in a 'manga-ish' style!

If you could pick one line that inspires you from a comic or nerd culture as your life motto, which would you choose?

"Why do we fall Sir? So we can learn to pick ourselves up!" Probably helps it was Michael Caine delivering it!

Thanks Ross.
