5 Question Interview #94

We put 5 (well 4) Questions to Faye Simms...

What’s the secret origin story that led to you working in comics?

I started making comics when, age 15, the school set us a project to start up a successful business. For some reason I thought comics would be the best way to go! I had to get everyone I knew involved trying to reach the page count on time, we ended up photocopying out pages in parent's offices after hours and it took us weeks to locate an A3 stapler - but I loved it when it was done.

What inspires you to create?

I really hate to be bored! When I have to sit through something dull, a long drive or a long queue, I start thinking over stories. Eventually they get so complex I have to write them down before I forget.... and by then I might as well draw it out!

What’s your favourite thing about what you do?

I got some fanart of my characters! Nothing sweeter in the world!

Since you started, what moment – so far - has been your highlight?

This year I have the final books from The Folding's Kickstarter! Epically longer than originally intended and with some really lovely postcard sets.

Thanks Faye.
