The 5 Question Interview: Guest Edition with Paul Cornell

We put 5 Questions to comic (and Doctor Who) writer Paul Cornell. Here's what he told us...

What’s your favourite thing about what you do?

Getting a reaction from an audience.

What was the first comic you remember reading/collecting?

Pippin and Playland and then Sparky when I was tiny, but I got suddenly avid when Dad brought home Avengers Weekly, with scary Doctor Strange in the back.

What was the first comic you professionally worked on?

Doctor Who Magazine #156 in 1990, a strip called 'Stairway to Heaven' featuring the Seventh Doctor.  So I've been writing comics, and Doctor Who comics, for 25 years!

Which comic or comic book character would you most like to work on if you were given the chance?

Dan Dare.

If you had to recommend one comic (or story arc) to people, which would it be?

Asterix and the Mansions of the Gods.  Awesome satire, amazing storytelling.

Thank you Paul.
