The 5 Question Interview #43 with The Inheretic

We put 5 Questions to Stuart & Leon, the folks behind The Inheretic...

Who are you and what do you do?

We are Stuart Jackson and Leon Reichel the artists behind The Inheretic a four part 124 page, full colour, graphic novel. It took 5 years to complete in our spare time, initially available on iTunes to fund the eventual print cost. We are now working on our second comic this time a more sensible 32 pager which will hopefully be out in time for True Believers 2017 (yes folks we are true believers in True Believers)

What can people expect to find at your table at True Believers?

We will have for sale the printed graphic novel as well as the digital versions on display on our iPads for anyone to flick through. We also have available 2 poster designs of the most popular pages from The Inheretic as well as stickers and leaflets.

What’s your favourite thing about what you do?

Drawing! We are both Illustrators in our day jobs and our spare time. When we’re not drawing we spend our time thinking about drawing. We use our comics as a vehicle to illustrate in every style we can.

What was the first comic you collected?

Commando. War comics. Wonderfully crafted illustrations, a real inspiration. From a time when men were men and drawings were drawings!

If you had to recommend one comic (or story arc) to people, which would it be?

Well we’ve already mentioned Commando, so in order for you not to think we are stuck in a rut, how about Modesty Blaise. Written by Peter O’Donnell and illustrated by Jim Holdaway.

Thanks guys.
