ARTIST ANGST

by KEV BRETT

"It’s easy making comics." "Comic creators are so fun and easy going." Think again. Here’s what really goes on in the life of a comic creator.

From the “genius” mind that brought you “The Making of a Comic Con” and “WORK”, comes a new comic about the trials and tribulations of being a comic book creator.*

* He realises that it’s a bit of a cop out to make comics about making comics...but it was a slow day at the office!

Available for the first time at True Believers 2018 and from www.piddleypix.com thereafter.

BOXES #4

by TODD OLIVER

Boxes 4 consists of several short stories focusing on dark humoured, surreal comedy. This issue introduces a new character, Angry Eric, who pretty much hates everything who has a habit of dying. There's also the return of a few soon-to-be classic characters, including Worm Man and Dr O.Doctor.

CIRCUSIDE #2

by GRAYHAM PUTTOCK

Queequeg's Circus is in town for the Bank Holiday weekend but not everyone in the rural English town of Gwynn Gallows is happy to welcome the struggling travelling show, as prejudice, long-buried secrets and the emergence of a very-ancient evil compete to tear the circus apart. Circuside is a 44-page, large-format comicbook filled with horror and drama, coal-black humour and gorgeous, highly-detailed black and white artwork .

HEX LOADER #3

by DAN WHITEHEAD & CONOR BOYLE

Issue 3 of weird retro-gaming horror comic Hex Loader will be making its debut at True Believers Comic Festival this year. Written by Dan Whitehead, with art by Conor Boyle (Hookjaw), the series is set in the late 80s and follows directionless games programmer David as he is initiated into a surreal world of underground artists, techno-magic, and gun-toting wombats after unpacking cursed computer code. In Issue 3, David ventures far beyond his comfort zone and finds himself in London, living with a commune of aspiring magic practitioners, where he discovers that the war for the future of art and magic is only just beginning.

THE SHOW #1 (of 4) -              LIFE IN THE MACHINE

by JED McPHERSON, JOSEPH VELASQUEZ & F.P. SIOC JNR.

What happens when TV becomes your reality? For most folk it'd be a dream but Johnny Teevee it's a goddamn nightmare.

He's completely isolated from human contact and subjected to all kinds of cruel and unusual treatment - all for your entertainment. But what happens when he's pushed too far?

The Show is a F@%$ed up tale of reality TV and the lunatics that create it. It's the Truman Show on a shoe string budget with Hunter S. Thompson as the show runner.

It's, well, it's the greatest show on earth...

“A SKETCHBOOK OF ROBOTS AND OTHER STUFF (BUT MAINLY ROBOTS)"

by ZOOT

Andy Hanks loves drawing. He also loves robots…

For the last 3 years, Andy -  also known as ‘Zoot’ has kept regular sketchbooks which he has tried to add to every day. The sketchbooks quickly turned from a chore and a practice exercise to a daily ritual and mild obsession.

The majority of the sketch book scribbles tended to be from his imagination, and the most of those turned out to robot based. After constant nagging from family and friends, he decided to put together a bound collection of pages from those sketchbooks which will be launching at True Believers 2018 at the 'I Am Zoot' table.

Go check it out!
