The Nerds Who Haunted Themselves is taking a step into the world of publishing comics with the launch of the - as yet untitled - True Believers Comic Festival Charity Showcase, a comic that will showcase exclusive short comics from some of the top names from the UK small press scene.
The comic will feature comics by Vince Hunt (The Red Mask From Mars), Andy Bloor (Midnight Man), Mike Garley (Samurai Slasher), Susie Gander (Perry Winkle), Jon Laight (Brethren Born), Joe Glass (The Pride) and Craig Turl (Wages Of Sindy), all set in the world of or featuring characters they have created, making it the perfect jumping on point to discover their work and the worlds they've created.
The comic will have a limited print run and will be available to buy at True Believers Comic Festival 2018 or to pre-order (via our website) before the event. The comic will be sold in memory of John Lawson (Stuart's brother in law) in aid of The Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, with all money from the sale of each copy going to the charity.
More details on the comics featured in the showcase will be announced over the coming months, but to whet your appetite here is some info and a sneak peek at a page from Mike Garley's exclusive Samurai Slasher story;
The Samurai Slasher VS the Curiosity Charity Auction
Mike Garley’s Samurai Slasher gets caught up in the middle of a curiosity charity auction. With Michael Lee-Graham on art duties, this tale promises to be a bizarre and bloody extravaganza, and all for a great cause!
Stories that are produced exclusively for this showcase may appear in other volumes or collected editions at a later date.
